Ideas to Improve the Site

We should get the local bobby on here if possible and we should have a dedicated forum post for each councillor, I mean I don't think it's too much too ask of them. What do you think Mr. Hogg? How do we do it? Maybe Mr. Hogg you could ask the other councillors?

It would be relatively straight forward to create pages for Councillors, MPs and the Local Police chief. It would just be a matter of getting them to agree to come on here. It would be nice to advertise the site but it costs too much, so ideas on cheap methods of promotion would be good.

You could have a jobs section so that local businesses can advertise on the website when they need new staff.

Firstly I must say what a great start this site is anyway.
I also thank Kevin Hogg for taking time to answer questions and solve problems.
It would be good to have catagories for posts ,you could have general ,local business, feedback from councellors, Police, whats new etc.
If we could get spokes people for the sections with answers we would get more posts .I agree we need to be able to speak directly with the local police on here.

If the Council agrees can we put some sort of signs about Hazel Grove just stating

I will arrange for our regular news letter (comes through every door) Lib Dem Keeping in Touch to publish the details next one due in Oct.
Goes through every door in the ward, so most of Hazel Grove and ask Andrew Stunell to post as well.
I thought this site was trying to stay non political, though possibly a seperate Politics section could be good. Could get nasty though (not from me) so maybe not a good Idea.

We could try to get a mention in that 'Inside Hazel Grove' magazine.

Or set up a group on Facebook that links to the forum.

Heres a few possibles:-

Buying, selling, for free pages.
Classified ads - maybe with a small charge for advertising will generate some income to pay the administrators a contribution for their hard work.

Stockport Express
OFSTED
Stockport Council for School info, Planning matters etc
Parent Info - Mother & Baby groups, Toddler Classes, Swimming Activities, Youth Clubs etc.
Local Transport Info, Places to visit etc.
Local reviews - places to go, places to eat etc

And please a change of colour - the green on white can be quite difficult to read at times.
